Kida (2023) Tamil Movie Review
Chellaiya (Poo Ramu – Late) is in financial crisis and he wants to buy good clothes and Fire crackers for his grandson Kathir to Celberate Diwali. He has no other option than sell his goat which he had taken care of like a son. Kathir is also very fond the goat. Vellachamy agrees for buying the goat. There is also a parallel story going on which shows a loving couple planning to leave the village on Deepavali day. The movie proceeds with how Chellaiya handles this situation.
Despite the story being predicatble director manages to keep people interested by showing realistic situations faced by Chellaiya. Towards the climax we may feel a good connection but climax is same as we expect. The screenplay is like a normal template everyone uses for this kind of genre. Acting is one of the main positive in this film as poo Ramu takes the lead with a very strong performance. Kaali venkat and Master Deepan also gives a solid assistance to Poo Ramu.
If you can get the emotional connect worked out then this movie may feel an almost good one.
