Does Duckworth/Lewis Method affect Net Run Rate

Matches which has results only will be used for Net run rate calculations.

1. If a  match is abandoned, but a result is there by Duckworth/Lewis method, Team A will be given a score that is at par with Team B Score at the number of overs faced by Team B.

EX. TEAM A VS TEAM B

TEAM A 320/6 AT 50 OVERS
TEAM B 140/3 AT 26 OVERS
RAIN INTERUPTS PLAY AND THEN NO PLAY HAPPENS

TEAM B AT PAR SCORE AFTER 26 OVERS IS CALCULATED AS 175

THEN BOTH TEAM A AND B ARE CREDITED WITH 175 RUNS IN 26 OVERS
FOR THE CALCULATION OF NRR.

2. If a match is proceeding with Duckworth/Lewis having been applied at an earlier time in the match, Team A will be given a score with 1 run less than the final Target Score for Team B off the total number of overs allocated to Team B to reach the target.

EX. TEAM A VS TEAM B

TEAM A 320/6 AT 50 OVERS
TEAM B 140/3 AT 26 OVERS
RAIN INTERUPTS PLAY

GAME RESUMES WITH REVISED TARGET FOR TEAM B AS 240 TO WIN FROM 35 OVERS

TEAM B SCORES 242 IN 33 OVERS AND WINS MATCH

THEN BOTH TEAM A WILL BE CREDITED WITH 239 RUNS IN 35 OVERS AND TEAM B WILL BE CREDITED WITH 242 RUNS IN 33 OVERS
FOR THE CALCULATION OF NRR.
