Arjan a man with lot of dreams to make his own thriller film ends up being a police officer. He comes across a serial killing case and he puts his knowledge gathered by researching many years for his movie to use.
Being remake of one of the best ever made thriller movie makers had a huge task in hand. The duration of remake version is cut short by 35-40 minutes with a view to become a more crispy thriller. At the end the reduction in duration impacted the movie other way. The emotional connect was missing in this remake and the climax also felt rushed. Background Score which was one of the main positive in Ratsasan failed big time in Cuttputlli.
Akshay Kumar has tried his best to carry the movie single handedly. Rakul Preet Singh didnt have much to do. Sujith Shankar has given a strong performance in the movie. Cinematography was good with movie narrated through some beautiful visuals of Himachal Pradesh.
Verdict: Watchable thriller
